I have been a fan of Burberry since Angela Ahrendts was appointed its CEO, and I was so impressed by the transformation the brand made in those years, in recovering back the British coolness. Even though she no longer is with Burberry, I remained hooked with the brand and visited multiple of its outlets across the globe. Burberry´s outlets usually indeed are a great place to shop for some fabulous pieces at rather more affordable prices and if you are lucky, deals can be as much as 80% off original retail price.
I still own a pair of boots I bought about 10 years ago in London´s Regent Street boutique at a very good price (that is around 70% off) during sales, and these are one of the best pairs of shoes I have ever worn. Such remarkable deals are rare in the Regent street store though, so while in London, I head to another location for Burberry. A way less glamorous neighbourhood, yet not too far from The City of London. It may sound like a bit of an overkill to go to the suburbs of London only to shop, yet don´t be too sceptical about it. To be fair, it really isn´t a far journey and, more interestingly, Burberry Outlet store in London is actually located where it all started (I think), that is the old (?) factory of the brand.
The place itself is not too difficult to find, though given that you will have to walk for about 15mins from the nearest train station, GPS can be a saviour. The building is far from impressive from the outside, yet inside it is quite modern and pleasant place to shop. It offers a vast selection of various sub-brands of Burberry (Burberry Prorsum, Burberry London, Burberry Brit, …) for women, men, children.
Items are priced in the same range as in the other Burberry outlet stores across Europe, yet selection is way greater. Some items are offered a special discount- upon my last visit, there were several racks of absolutely beautiful Burberry dresses, for an average price of 100 GBP each! Original price was in thousands!
Coats are traditionally well represented in the store and are discounted on average at 50% off original retail prices. Bags and sunglasses selections are also quite decent.
A great discovery were leather accessories! Stuff like iPad/iPhone holders, notebooks,… I bought a fancy lipstick holder for a bargain price of 29 GPB (discounted from 175 GBP!).
Do visit if you love the brand and happen to be in London! The place is literally next to the upcoming Outlet Area Hackney Walk, so you can easily combine it with some further bargain designer shopping!
